Obituary of John Fullwood

John Henry Fullwood, 85, husband of Carolyn B. Fullwood, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at his home. Born on May 11, 1939, in Horry County, he was a son of the late Arthur C. Fullwood and the late Ellen Johnson Fullwood. Mr. Fullwood was a US Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. After being honorably discharged from the military, Mr. Fullwood started his career at Grainger Generating Station and then retired from Santee Cooper – Winyah Generating Stationafter 29 years of service. Mr. Fullwood enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two children, Joseph Scott Fullwood (Tammy) of Georgetown and Sharan Denise Mason Fullwood Watkins (Ricky) of Georgetown; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Frankie Cook of Aynor and Sarah Fullwood of Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, July 5, 2024, in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
