Obituary of Holly Ann O'Bannon Wilder

Holly Ann O’Bannon Wilder, 57, wife of James Edward Wilder, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2024, at her home. Born on February 19, 1967, in Norfolk, VA, she was a daughter of the late James O’Bannon and the late Wendy Chandler O’Bannon. Holly was a retired rural carrier for the United States Postal Service and was a passionate gardener whose green thumb brought vibrant life to her surroundings. Her love for nature extended to her beloved pets, who were her constant companions and brought her immense joy and comfort. Holly will be remembered for her generous spirit and her selfless dedication to helping others. Whether it was lending a hand or simply offering a kind word, Holly's actions exemplified compassion and love to all. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and a life lived in service to others. Holly will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Survivors include her husband of Andrews; three children, Stephanie Moore (Brian) of Charlotte, NC, Tiffany Wilder Poston (Chad) of Andrews and Ceara Cox (Hunter) of Andrews; eight grandchildren, Cameron Wilder, Sierra Wilder, Austin Wilder, Paisley Davis, Bryson Taylor, Conor Taylor, Daylin Taylor, Katelynn Thomas (Tyler) and Kyle Poston; one great grandchild, Tatum Thomas; four brothers, Stan O'Bannon (Joyce) of Bowman, GA, Clay O'Bannon of Greenwood, Tony O'Bannon of Abbeville and Skipper O'Bannon (Corrinna) of Abbeville; six sisters, Dianne Dishman (Bob) of IA, Tracy O'Bannon (Ken Wilbanks) Greenwood, Kelly Kulhanek (Ron) of Greenwood, Jody Abbott (Mark) of Ninety Six, Rachel Garner (John) of Abbeville and Cathy O’Bannon Brooks of MO; a best friend, Kricket Baylor (Andy) of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Taylor and a sister-in-law, Darlene O'Bannon Services will be private.
