Obituary of Harriett Foxworth Harrelson

Mrs. Harriett Foxworth Harrelson, age 70, of Vidalia, died on Tuesday morning, February 27, 2024, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after an extended illness. She was a native of Georgetown, South Carolina and lived the past thirty-one years in Vidalia. Mrs. Harriett graduated from Winyah High School in 1971. She was the former owner of Harriett’s Beauty Salon in Georgetown for twenty-five years, co-owner and operator of Tara of Vidalia, and later retired from Vidalia Open MRI as an administrative secretary. She was her husband’s best friend and love for fifty-four years, with fifty-one of those in marriage. Mrs. Harriett was a devoted pastor’s wife, grew up in the Assemblies of God and attended Uvalda Church of God. She loved to cook and share her love through ministering to others. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated Christian and a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil Edward Foxworth Sr. Her family includes her husband of fifty-one years, Frank Harrelson of Vidalia; three daughters, Dollie Ann Branson and husband Jason of Jackson, Georgia, Kitty Marie Lariscey and husband Matt, and Crystal Valene Rowell and husband Donny all of Vidalia; her mother, Eloise Singleton Foxworth of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; one brother, Cecil Foxworth Jr. and wife Judy of Anderson, South Carolina; one sister, Pamela Swanson and husband Randy of Westminster, Colorado; uncle, Billy Singleton of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Chance Branson and wife Erin, Melanie Johnson and husband Chuck, Abbegail Branson, Madelyn Lariscey, Ella Jane Beasley, Maylee Kate Lariscey, and Thomas Lariscey; one great-grandchild, Charlie Johnson; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral service was Friday morning, March 1st at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Alvin Merritt, Pastor Michael Branson, and Pastor Clem Griggs officiating. Burial followed in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Jason Branson, Chance Branson, Matt Lariscey, Donny Rowell, Jimmy Underwood, and Chris Foxworth. Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
