Obituary of Nicholas Cameron Cumbie

Nicholas Cameron “Nick” Cumbie, 18, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Born on October 25, 1997, in Georgetown, he was the son of Rubin Handford Cumbie and Tammy Grant George. Nick was a graduating senior at Andrews High School and enjoyed working with computers, playing video game and had a great love for animals. Survivors include his parents of Andrews; maternal grandmother, Barbara Duke (Cecil) of Tullahoma, TN; paternal grandmother, Lila Cumbie of Andrews; a step sister, Amy Dimery (Freddie) of Marion; three aunts, Debbie Thomas (Bill) of Decherd, TN, Patricia Ward (Jake) of Georgetown and Janice Cumbie of Andrews; special cousins, Cale Thomas, Darby Thomas, Brandy Ballard, Robbie Barnes, Jacob Ward and Jeremy Ward; and numerous other cousins and special family members. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George G. Cumbie, Jr.; maternal grandfather, Haskell Grant; and one uncle, David Cumbie. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomingvale Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Memorials may be made to the St. Frances Animal Center, 125 N. Ridge St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
