Obituary of Winston B. Clark

Winston Burnette Clark, 75, husband of Kathleen Drew Clark, passed away Friday, April 28, 2016 at his home. Born on April 21, 1941, in Hemingway, he was a son of the late Charles Clark and the late Mabel Green Clark. Mr. Clark was a retired US Navy veteran and former caretaker of Harietta Plantation and Rosemont Plantation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, collecting lighthouses and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two daughters, Alison Branham (Tommy) and Sheila Sanders (Luckey) all of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Matt, Kelby, Jesse, Janna, Nicholas and Alyssa; two sisters, Ann Sekkes (Ed) and Zula Bath all of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Winston “Burney” Clark, Jr.; one sister, Peggy Lawrimore; and two brothers, Alvin Clark and Chester Clark. A private memorial service, for close family and friends, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Hoskins officiating.
