Obituary of Walter Thomas Savage, Jr.

Walter Thomas Savage, Jr., 92, fiancé of Angela Ard, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Born on December 21, 1930, in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the later Walter Savage and the late Mary Moore Savage. Mr. Savage was a member of Screven Baptist Church, the Moose Lodge and was a US Air Force veteran. He enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and going to auctions. Survivors include his fiancé, Angela Ard; two children, Mark Savage (Karen) and Lori Haynes; four grandchildren, Rebecca DeLuca, Stacey Deluca, Joshua Wadman and Jarrod Wadman; and two sisters, Donna Norwood and Elizabeth Dmochoski. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Savage. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 5, 2023, at Screven Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at Angela Ard’s home. Memorials may be made to Screven Baptist Church, 2221 S. Island Rd.
