Obituary of Geanenne Morgan Kelly

Geanenne Morgan Kelly, 62, widow of Terry Lee Kelly, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at her home. Born on May 4, 1960, in Shelby, NC, she was the daughter of Peggie Morgan and the late Gene Lee Morgan. Mrs. Kelly was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, choir member and was a part of the Koinonia Sunday school class. She enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting, crocheting, baby sitting and reading. Survivors include her mother of Georgetown; two sons, Morgan Kelly of Johnson City, TN and Samuel Kelly (Ashelynn) of Springfield, VA; mother-in-Law, Lucille Kelly of Georgetown; one aunt, Miriam Claytor of Hopkins; brother-in-law, Tim Kelly (Sherre) of Nashville, TN; sisters-in-law, Jan Kelly of Georgetown, Elizabeth Kelly of Mobile, AL and Yvette Kraus (Drew) of Georgetown; nieces, Kelly Howard (David) of Georgetown, Katherine Hawley (Josh) of Mauldin and Abigail Kelly of Nashville, TN; and nephews, Ruston Kelly of Nashville, TN, Chip Kelly (Meagan) of Chicago, IL and Spencer Morgan of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchell Lee Morgan; and father-in-law, Herbert Samuel Kelly, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 30, 2022, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Friday at the church.
