Obituary of Shana Marie Leday

Shana Marie Leday, 29, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022. Born on November 1, 1992, in Nashville, TN, she was a daughter of Tammy Williams Thornal and Brian James Leday. Shana loved spending time at the beach, singing and spending time with her family and friends. She had a beautiful soul and a smile that would lite up a room. Survivors include her mother, Tammy Thornal (Jamie) of Andrews; father, Brian Leday (Amy) of Monroe, LA; six children, Brett Mauldin, Maliegh Leday, Serenity O'Connell, Arabella Mixon, Landon Leday and Rylee Leday; three brothers, Bryant Leday (Heather) of Georgetown, Joshua Leday (Kelsey) of Georgetown and Hunter Leday of TX; maternal grandmother, Claudia Todd of Georgetown; maternal step-grandmother, Lisa Williams of Georgetown; paternal grandmother, Karen Leday of Monroe, LA; one nephew, Dalton Leday; one niece, Eliza Leday; two aunts, Jennifer Hewitt (Joe-Joe) of Moncks Corner and Gracie Williams of Georgetown; three uncles, Andrew Williams of Georgetown, Ted Leday of Georgetown and Solomon Leday, Jr. of Georgetown; four special cousins, Calah Petito (Joe) of Westminster Township, NJ, Garrett Liabastre of Ridgeville, Bentley Liabastre and Braxton Liabastre. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Leonard Williams; maternal step-grandfather, Darrell Todd; paternal grandfather, Soloman Leday, Sr.; and one uncle, Danny Leday. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Black River Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
