Obituary of Linda Ann Merritt

Linda Ann Jordan Merritt, 67, widow of Larry Merritt, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born on April 5, 1955, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Leon Jordan and the late Dorothy Moore Jordan. Mrs. Merritt enjoyed gardening, watching hummingbirds and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include three children, Tammy Ackerman (Brian), Michelle Cribb and Chuckie Cribb (Savannah) all of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Jordan Newton, Holden Harter, Kinsley Harter, Haigan Davis, Gavin Harter, Mackynsie Cribb, Brantleigh Ackerman, Daxx Ackerman and Everleigh Cribb; two great grandchildren, Cayden Cooper and Paxton Newton; three sisters, Delynn Wilson (Bubbie) of Andrews, Joyce Owens (Larry) of Georgetown and Judy Jordan of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Jordan, Jr.; and a nephew, Jody Owens. A memorial service will be private.
