Obituary of Franklin "Yogie" Laverne Wheeler

Franklin ”Yogie” Laverne Wheeler, 65, husband of Sharon Kay Michau Wheeler, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at his home. Born on January 29, 1957, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of Sara Elizabeth Johnson “Libby” Wheeler and the late Waymond Lamont Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a long-distance truck driver for many years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spend time in his shop and with his dogs. Survivors include his wife and mother of Andrews; three children, Casey L. Wheeler of Andrews, Tiffany K. Wheeler of Myrtle Beach and Christopher A. Holiday of Andrews; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Monty Wheeler of Andrews, a sister, Avis Smith (Lewis) of Andrews; and his special fur babies, Diesel and Sassy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Gatlin. A graveside service will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home. The family would like to thank Agape Hospice and South Carolina House Calls for their dedication to Frankie's care. Also, his two special care givers Brooke M. Howard and Stephanie Ethridge.
