Obituary of Kenneth E. McInnis

Kenneth Earl “Ken” McInnis, Sr, 69, husband of Brenda Kay Anderson McInnis, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Born on August 30, 1952, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Edith Geddings McInnis and the late Archie McEachern McInnis. As a faithful servant, Mr. McInnis was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a vintage car enthusiast and was a member of the Sumter Cruisers car club. Mr. McInnis enjoyed working with wood, building furniture, wildlife and most of all spending time with his loving family. Survivors include his wife of Sumter; three children, Kenneth Earl McInnis, Jr. of Sumter, Curtis Adam McInnis of Sumter and Pamela Marie Beard of Charleston; one grandchild, Olivia McKay Beard of Charleston; one brother, Dan McInnis of Alcolu; and two nephews, Stacy McInnis (Nancy) of Manning and Neil McInnis (Sherry) of Summerton. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Alton McInnis; and five half-sisters, Ruby Ross, Pearl Turner, Evelyn McCoy, Juanita Ledbetter and Agnes Harrelson. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 7, 2022, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service or at the home.
