Obituary of RB Casselman

Robert Bennie “RB” Casselman, 81, husband of Margie Lee Todd Casselman, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at his home. Born on May 24, 1940, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Thomas R. Casselman and the late Eunice Mae Howard Casselman. Mr. Casselman faithfully served in the Army National Guard for 23 years and was a member of Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a former Sunday school teacher and missions director. Along with his service at his church, Mr. Casselman also was an Evangelist and a member of the community prayer breakfast group in Andrews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and cooking. Mr. Casselman never met a stranger, and loved to joke with others always looking to make people laugh. Survivors include his wife of Andrews; two living children, Joy Powell (Matt) of Georgetown and Ryan Casselman of TX; four grandchildren, Jessica Jayroe (Jamie) of Georgetown, Amber Bryant (Adam) of Florence, Taylor Casselman of Summerville and Ryleigh Williams of Columbia; two great grandchildren, Mia Jayroe and Sophia Cole; two sisters, Shirley Howard (Henry) of McBee and Sylvia Casselman (Clinton) of Andrews. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Casselman; and special grandson, Tyler Casselman. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church.
