Obituary of BJ Taylor

Benjamin Jake “BJ” Taylor, 29, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at his home. Born on August 26, 1992, in Georgetown, he was a son of Priscilla Young Goude and the late Ben Taylor, Jr. BJ enjoyed shooting pool, listening to music, hanging out with his friends, spending time on the water and most of all being a dad. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Priscilla Y. Goude and Kenneth Goude of Andrews; paternal grandmother, Kathrine Tyler of Georgetown; two sons, Bradyn Taylor and Bentley Taylor both of Andrews; one brother, Patrick Cox (Kamra) of Andrews; two nieces, Taylor Cox and Aubrey Gray both of Andrews; one nephew, Luke Cox of Andrews; two uncles, Shaine Young of Georgetown and Gerald Taylor (Jennifer) of Andrews; two aunts, Lucy Harrington of Kingstree and Bessie Cumbie of Walterboro; one special great aunt, Ruth Springs of Georgetown; five special cousins, Shaina Skipper, Fierceson Skipper, Brittany Yarborough, Kelly Dail and Dayton Young all of Andrews; and the mothers of his children, Brittany Huggins of Andrews and Courtney Cooper of Andrews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy Young and Margaret Tilton; paternal grandfather, Ben Taylor; a sister-in-law, Whitney Cox and an uncle, Brian Young. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Rhems Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
