Obituary of Claudette Elliott Barber

Claudette Elliott Barber, 83, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. Born on June 27, 1938, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Carl McRoy Elliott and the late Myrtis Elliott. Ms. Barber enjoyed crocheting, fishing and spending time with her family. Survivors include two children, Johnny Pope, Sr. (Debbie) and Tammy Pope Cox all of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Dean Pope of Andrews, Amanda Jordan of Andrews, Johnny Pope, II of Georgetown, Joshua Pope (Jodi) of Georgetown, Trey Damon of Georgetown and Kimberlyn Stergas of Georgetown; a daughter-in-law, Julie Pope of Andrews; one brother, Ricky Elliott (Barbara Gayle) of Georgetown; two sisters, Maudine Lambert and Kay Lunsford both of Georgetown; beloved fur baby, Peanut; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Dean Pope; a grandson, Travis Pope; and three brothers, Neal Elliott, Jimmy Elliott and Ronnie Elliott. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, October 25, 2021, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon – 1 PM Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
