Obituary of Elissa Claire Walker

Elissa Claire Walker, 13, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Born on February 21, 2008, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of Melissa Anne Moore-Walker and Robert Christopher Walker. Claire was a rising 7th grader at Georgetown Middle School and was a member of the Georgetown Church of God youth group. A lover of life, Claire was always ready for a new adventure and found great pleasure in softball, soccer, surfing lessons with the Village Surf Shop and riding horses. Claire had a great love for animals and big aspirations for the future. Although her time was short, her loving and beautiful smile, personality and love for others will carry on in the memories of those that loved and knew her. Survivors include her mother and father of Georgetown; maternal grandfather, Henry Moore, IV of Georgetown; paternal grandparents, Shirley Robinette and Robert Walker both of Georgetown; two siblings, Madison Miller and Gavin Walker both of Georgetown; one uncle, Jonathan Moore of Georgetown; three aunts, Catherine Moore Wilson (David), Mandy Moore (Robbie Smith) and Sherry Walker all of Georgetown; a special friend, Zachary "Flash" Lewis of Georgetown; and numerous cousins, extended family and other special friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Cherrin Moore; maternal great grandparents, James and Mildred Mundy and Lillian and Henry Moore, III; paternal great grandparents, Oscar Jernigan, Hazel Lee and Maxine and Robert Walker. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Georgetown Church of God.
