Obituary of Ernestine Cox Bauer

Ernestine Cox Bauer, 80, wife of Glenn “Butch” Bauer, Jr., passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at her home. Born on November 4, 1940, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late John Jasper Cox and the late Rethea Williamson Cox. Mrs. Bauer was a member of Graves Southern Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, and worked with children’s ministry. Mrs. Bauer was a giving person who enjoyed taking care of others, cooking, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of Andrews; two daughters, Ginger Haithcock of Georgetown and Tammy Weaver of Andrews; two granddaughters, Brooke Cox (Ron) of Georgetown and Amber Pomranky (Anthony) of Summerville; four great grandchildren, Cameron Cox, Amya Lance, Ashlyn Pomranky and Ashton Pomranky; one sister, Dale Presutti of Summerville; two sisters in law, Ann Cox of Pawleys Island and Sandra Wilson of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Elijah Cox; two sons in law, David Weaver and Homer Haithcock; one sister, Dottie Carnes; and two brothers, Larry Cox and John Cox. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Graves Southern Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
