Obituary of Sylvia June Goude

Sylvia June Goude, widow of Robert (Bobby) Goude, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Born on November 12, 1942, in Glendale, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Mayfield Walden and the late Martha Louise Thomas Walden. Ms. Goude was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Ms. Goude enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and listening to gospel music. She also loved to watch soap operas, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her four children, Debbie Vause of Georgetown, Pam Duncan (Tim) of Georgetown, Robin Cumbie (Phil) of Andrews and Chris Goude (Melissa) of Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren, Danielle Black (David), Brian Vause (Tiffany), Kristina Ellerbe (Alex), Cody Duncan, Hannah Bruorton (Will), and Nicholas Cumbie (Katelyn); five great grandchildren, Aiden Vause, Ava Black, Sarah Kate Black, Cordelia Ellerbe, and Abbott Ellerbe; one sister, Gayle Walden of Duncan, SC; one special nephew, Keith Moody of Spartanburg, SC. She is predeceased by her husband, and two sisters, Ann Gratzick and Mary Ellen Ellis. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM Friday, June 11, 2021, at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
