Obituary of James Edward Wilson
James Edward Wilson, 77, beloved husband of Frances Margie Wilson, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021.
Born on November 18, 1943, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late David Tillman Wilson and the late Queen Esther Wilson Ward. Mr. Wilson was a US Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, an unforgettable time that he often reminisced about with family and friends. He was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a part of the Adult Bible Sunday school class and enjoyed helping with Bible school. Mr. Wilson retired from International Paper Company after 40 year of service and went on to spend another 8 years as a contractor.
Mr. Wilson had a great love for farming, and enjoyed spending time on his tractor, tending to his crops and taking care of his cows, hogs and chickens. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and run dogs, a sound he loved to hear. His other favorite past times were shad fishing, bream fishing and sitting in his truck listening to blue grass music. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them about farming, hunting, fishing and the facts about life.
