Obituary of Levon Miller

Levon Miller, 87, beloved husband of Daisy Lee Harrington Miller, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Embrace Hospice House. Born on October 10, 1933, in Pleasant Hill, he was a son of the late Walter Miller and the late Stella Owens Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Screven Baptist Church. During his 50-year membership at Screven Baptist Church, Mr. Miller served as a deacon and chairman of various boards. At an early age, Mr. Miller began working for International Paper Company, and did heating and air work on the side. It was not long and Mr. Miller decided to leave the paper mill and focus his time solely on Levon Miller Heating & Air Inc, a company that he owned and operated for more than 35 years. Aside from spending a lot of time owning and building a successful business, Mr. Miller found the time to enjoy traveling, cooking, fishing, shrimping, wood working and working his garden, a garden that he loved to share with his family and friends. He was a Mason and a veteran of the Army National Guard. Mr. Miller was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Terry Levon Miller, Barry Lee Miller and Lori Miller Nease (Chip) all of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Lee, Jessi, Ashley, Tyer, Kati and Molly; six great-grandchildren, Josh, Jayden, Kylee, Krausmann and Fields; one sister, Reba Bell (Roger) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dottie Foxworth; and four brothers, Odell Miller, Doise Miller, Fernie Miller and Mabry Miller. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, February 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Sherrill officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 219 Cleland St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
