Obituary of Celia Wood Bradshaw

Celia Wood Bradshaw, 81, widow of Charles Bradshaw, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on October 30, 1939, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Edward Wood, Sr. and the late Mary Williams Wood. Mrs. Bradshaw was a member of First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Winyah #148 Georgetown and served as a Past Grand Matron for South Carolina. Mrs. Bradshaw was a registered nurse and retired from Georgetown Memorial Hospital after 41 years of service. Survivors include two children, Joyce Bradshaw Powell (Charles) of Andrews and Charles Bradshaw, Jr. (Tonya) of Gaston; eight grandchildren, Dr. Cutina Barrineau (Solon) of Andrews, Anastashia B. Powell of Andrews, Charlton B. Powell of Andrews, Jennifer B. Garner (Keith) of Montana, Charles Anthony Bradshaw of Spartanburg, Michael Price (Amanda) of GA, Jayme Butler (Maia) of Columbia and Jessica Butler (Ken) of Gaston; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Relva W. Featherstone of Tyler, TX; two brothers, Robert E. Wood and Lloyd E. "Eddie" Wood, Jr. both of Tyler, TX; one brother in law, Sam E. Bradshaw (Linda) of Liberty and one sister in law, Joyce Bradshaw of McClellanville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, AnnieLee Paris; four brothers in law, Pete Paris, William G. "Bill" Bradshaw, Jr., Olin B. Bradshaw and Enoch W. Bradshaw; and two sisters in law, Mary B. Byron and Ann L. Bradshaw. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of South Carolina for the Service Dog program or the ESTARL (religious educational program), 532 Greenbriar Dr. Seneca, SC 29678 Facemask will be required and social distancing will be practiced.
