Obituary of Richard Mervin Jacobs

Richard Mervin Jacobs, 69, beloved husband of Doris Ward Jacobs, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on March 4, 1951, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Earl Junior Jacobs and the late Bena Mae Lambert Warzon. Mr. Jacobs was a United States Marine veteran and was retired from International Paper Company. He was a member of United Christian Outreach and enjoyed working with his hands, working on cars, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 50 years; two daughters, Nicole Jacobs Lee (Jim) of Georgetown and Emily Jacobs Tilton (Durwin "Bubba T") of Andrews; twelve grandchildren, Nicholas Clark, Rachel Jacobs (Mega), Hunter Lee, Garrett Polson, Cassie Walters (Lance), Kaitlyn Jacobs, Melody Manahan, Alissa Tilton, Booboo Tilton, Savannah Lee, Wyatt Manahan and Landon Mayer; five great grandchildren, Dixie Clark, Landon Myers, Adilynn Tilton (I love you granddaddy, his best friend), Xander Myers and Bellamy Walters; one sister, Vickie Jones (Henry) of Georgetown; two brothers, Stafford Warzon of TX and Ronnie Warzon (Carolyn) of TX; one special nephew, Patrick Cribb of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death a son, Richard Mervin "Bubba" Jacobs, II; a daughter, Helenia Dawn Jacobs; a great granddaughter, Lucy Rose "Lulu" Clark; and one brother, James Earl Jacobs. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, November 15, 2020 at United Christian Outreach. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM Sunday, November 15, 2020 at United Christian Outreach.
