Obituary of Barbara Wise Quickel

Barbara Wise Quickel, 79, widow of Bronson Ferrell Quickel, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, at her home. Born on November 22, 1940, in Seattle, Washington, she was a daughter of the late William L. Wise, Sr. and the late Edith Camille Keys Johnston. Mrs. Quickel was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and the Sonshine Sunday school class. She enjoyed camping, crafts, writing poems, listening to gospel music and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, Jim Buckner (Wanda) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Melissa Guiboa (David) of Wichita, KS, Jessica Willis (Matt) of Fayetteville, NC, Clifton Buckner of Wichita, KS, Tyler Buckner (Courtney) of Georgetown and Celeste Buckner (Kerry) of Georgetown; seven great grandchildren, Josiah, Winnie, Ryneck, Mitchell, Christopher, Kelton and Landon; two sisters, Julie Brusegaard of Federal Way, WA and Judy Tucker of Aberdeen, WA; two brothers, Howard Wise (Marsha) of Mt. Vernon, WA and William Wise (Betty) of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Carter; and five brothers, Donald Wise, Ernest Wise, Edward Wise, Daniel Wise and Arthur B. Wise. Funeral services will be held at 5 PM Monday, August 31, 2020, in the Ringel Heights Baptist Church – Family Life Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Ringel Heights Baptist Church – Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to any local hospice organization.
