Obituary of Carl George Lathan

Carl George Lathan, 84, widower of Laurie Branham Lathan, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Blue Ridge in Georgetown. Born on August 17, 1935, in Chester, he was a son of the late George Lathan and the late Martha Morgan. Mr. Lathan was a member of Great Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and most of all, helping others. Survivors include four children, Richard Lathan (Robin) of AK, Gerald Lathan (Simone) of Georgetown, Joyce Campbell of Great Falls and Michael Richardson (Connie) of North Dakota; 11 grandchildren, Kayla Lathan, Carly Lathan, Jacob Lathan, Kimberly Stafford, Wendy Marlowe, Ricky Lathan, Amber Preston, Hanna Massey, Cody Campbell, Dakota Campbell and Samantha Campbell; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one brother, Olin “Buddy” Lathan (Odell) of Great Falls. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Massey; a granddaughter, Laura Beth Lathan; and siblings, Ed Lathan, Frances Ramey, Willie Burchett and Daul Gayfellow. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2020 in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls, SC.
