Obituary of Lois Ann Fulton

Lois Ann Fulton, 66, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Morningside of Georgetown. Born on March 27, 1953, in Andrews, she was a daughter of the late Robert Maring and the late Maude Marshall Maring. Ms. Fulton was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and worked as a medical transcriptionist for more than 30 years, a majority of which was spent at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Her greatest passion was Shagging and she was a member of the South Strand Shag Club. Survivors include two sons, Jay Fulton of Andrews and John Fulton (Treva) of Andrews; four grandchildren, Hannah Fulton, Carmen Fulton, Gavin Fulton, Zoey Fulton; two sisters, Emily Syler of Marietta, GA and Shama Johnson (Bob) of Andrews; two brothers, David Maring (Judy) of Georgetown and Waldo Maring (Teresa) of Murrells Inlet; one sister in law, Pat Maring of CT; two special friends, Kathy Harrington of Andrews and Annette Powers of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Maring. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM Sunday, in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ringel Heights Baptist Church, Youth Program, 78 Rubin Ave. Georgetown, SC 29440.
