Obituary of Geneva Creel Hancock

Geneva K. Creel Hancock, 74, wife of Jackie Lee “Jack” Hancock, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her home.

Born on September 6, 1944, in Johnsonville, she was a daughter of the late Jack Creel and the late Mattie McAlister Creel. Mrs. Hancock was a member of Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved spending time outdoors and her family was her life. Mrs. Hancock was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; three children, John Hancock of Georgetown, Paul Hancock (Robin) of Georgetown and Gina Jordan (Dean) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Brittany Carter, Chelsea Hancock, Matthew Hancock, Keith Hancock, Kaylee Hancock; two sisters, Wilma McKenzie of Georgetown and Tina Calhoun of Zackary, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jamie Creel, Carrol Creel and Bobby Creel; and one sister, Nell Wynn.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
