Obituary of Charles Fields Lambert

Charles Fields Lambert, 77, husband of Janet Ray Lambert, passed away July 9, 2019, at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Born on August 21, 1941, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Fields Lambert and the late Lena Hartley Lambert. Mr. Lambert was the owner of the Lambert Trucking and enjoyed working and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Ray Lambert of Georgetown; three children, Melody L. "Monk" Welch (Larry) of Georgetown, Willie Lambert (Darlene McDonald) of Georgetown and Drew Lambert (Lauren) of Myrtle Beach; one step son, Ronny Ray of Pawleys Island; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Bubba Lambert (Maxine) of Georgetown; five sisters, Ernestine Bryant of Georgetown, Juanita Hanser of Pawleys Island, Mary Ludy Tilton of NC, Vivian Bazen (Don) of Georgetown and Shirley Tyler (Wayman) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Basil Lambert; and one sister, Vera Springs.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 12, 2019 in Sampit United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Knight officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
