Obituary of William Daniel Miller Jr

William Daniel “W.D.” Miller, Jr.,59, husband of Linda Mercer Miller, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 9, 1956, in Georgetown, he was a son of Jennie Lee Goude Miller and the late William D. Miller, Sr. Mr. Miller was a member of Graves Southern Baptist Church and the Spring Gulley Social Club. He was retired from Georgetown Steel Mill and enjoyed watching the Gamecocks play, NASCAR, riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife and mother of Georgetown; six children, Misty Ethridge of Georgetown, Christy Anderson (John) of Conway, Chad Miller of Georgetown, Annie Miller Fulton (Jay) of Georgetown, Mandy Miller of Georgetown and Danette Miller of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, Kristina Ethridge, Dalton Ethridge, Hunter Johnson, Case Byrdic, Hannah Fulton, Drake Anderson and John Hayden Anderson; two beloved grand dogs, Elle and Paisley; three sisters, Mary Etheridge of Georgetown, Kay Turner of Murrells Inlet, Amy Burkett of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy McCrea; and two brothers, Billy Paul Miller and Larry “Joe” Miller. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Monday, July 13, 2015 at Graves Southern Baptist Church with Elder Mike Goude officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
