Obituary of Marvadine Brown Forehand

Marvadine Brown Forehand, 83, widow of Ronald Cameron Forehand, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born on February 10, 1934, in Conway, she was a daughter of the late Morris Cleveland Brown and the late Pennie Alford Brown. Mrs. Forehand was a very active member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class, Faith Missions and volunteered for many church activities. She attended Community Bible Study and was a former Rotarian with the Lunchtime Rotary Club. Mrs. Forehand retired from Darden’s Jewelers after 50 years of service and enjoyed spending time at her beach house, watching golf and most of all reading her Bible.

Survivors include three children, R. Cameron Forehand, Jr. (Denise), Stephen L. Forehand (Yvette) and Deborah F. Scott (Wayne) all of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Ken W. Scott (Regina) of Georgetown, Michael B. Scott (Porcher) of McClellanville, Glenda D. Scott of Socastee, Ron C. Forehand, III (Michelle) of Conway, Nicholas C. Forehand of Buffalo, NY, Lindsey F. Lotito (Mike) of Mt. Pleasant, Curtis H. Scott of Georgetown, Laura A. Forehand (Jess) of Murrells Inlet and Caleb J. Freyer of Georgetown; six great grandchildren, A.J., Tyler, Seth, Alexis, Adam and Elizabeth; six sisters, Clara Nell Brown of Conway, Opal McMillan (Harry) of Columbia, Genewood Boyd (Tom) of Myrtle Beach, Connie Johnson of Charleston, Joyce Felts (Will) of Charleston, Paulette Gujer of Conway; one brother, M.C. Brown, Jr. (Izzie) of Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Flynt; and one brother, Joe Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Sherrill officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday at First Baptist Church.
