Obituary of Bennett Laverne Gibson

Bennett Laverne Gibson, 80, beloved husband of Elizabeth Sue Baker Gibson, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home.

Born on January 31, 1937, in Georgetown, he was the son of the late Bennett Elijah Gibson and the late Edna Elliott Gibson. Mr. Gibson attended Messiah Baptist Church and was retired from Coburg Dairy.

Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; daughter in law, Lynn Peters (Pete) of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Candice Gaskins (Billy) of Georgetown, Stephanie Bradoc (Josh) of Andrews and Johnnie Carter (Jennifer) of Andrews; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna Mae Yates of Georgetown; and Wilma Reeves (Bobby) of Andrews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tracey Gibson.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky West officiating.
