Obituary of Margaret Alda Dillon

Margaret Alda Kennedy Dillon, 97, widow of Willis Dillon, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at her daughter’s home.

Born on December 14, 1919, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of William Blanchard Kennedy and the late Anna Meisner Kennedy. Mrs. Dillon was a member of Roseville Presbyterian Church in Sacramento, CA and was a founding member of the Carmichael Elks Emblem Club and the Widow Peoples Association. She enjoyed playing golf, shopping and traveling. Mrs. Dillon was an artist who enjoyed painting. After years of not painting, through her love for art, Mrs. Dillon most recently started and completed an art piece at the age of 97 years old.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue Hess (Mark) of Pawleys Island; two step grandchildren, Heidi Hess-Webber (Randy) of Laurel, MD and Scott Hess of Annapolis, MD; one sister, Shirley Evans of Napa, CA; and two nieces, Kathy Fitchner (Kevin) of Sana Rosa, CA and Connie Dismang (Tim) of San Juan Capistrano, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Dillon; and three brothers, Ken Kennedy, Pat Kennedy and Andy Kennedy.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Allston Plantation Club House.
