William Clyde “Billy” Whitnauer, 45, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Born on April 11, 1979, in Conway, he was a son of Janis Cribb Whitnauer and the late John Leonard Whitnauer, Jr. Billy was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and was a heavy equipment operator at Santee Cooper – Winyah Generating Station. He was a volunteer with Georgetown County Fire Department. Billy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include the love of his life, Kellie Ward Harter of Georgetown; his mother, Janis Whitnauer of Georgetown; 3 children he thought of as his own, Chandler Harter, Tyler Harter and Spencer Harter (Haley) all of Georgetown; one sister, Jennifer Whitnauer of Georgetown; a sister-in-law, Ronica Whitnauer of Georgetown; three nephews, Adam Moore, Gavin Ward and Richard Whitnauer, Jr. all of Georgetown; two nieces, Holly Whitnauer and Emma Whitnauer both of Georgetown; two aunts, Carol Ann Ward (Monroe) of Hemingway and Sherrel Whitnauer of Macedonia; two uncles, Franky Whitnauer of Charleston and Dennis Cribb of Hemingway; one great aunt, Eloise Foxworth of Georgetown; and one great uncle, Billy Singleton of Pawleys Island.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Whitnauer; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Pearline Cribb; paternal grandparents, John and Retha Mae Whitnauer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
