William Anthony "Tony" Howard

October 5, 1980 — November 23, 2024

William Anthony “Tony” Howard, 44, passed away peacefully at Tidelands Memorial Hospital on November 23, 2024. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend whose spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

A talented craftsman whose work in construction framing showcased his skillful hands. His creativity extended beyond the job site into the world of art where he aspired to be a tattoo artist – a passion reflected in the many tattoos that adorned his body. Those close to him often marveled at his dry wit and intelligence; Tony had an uncanny knack for making people laugh while simultaneously engaging them in thought-provoking conversations. Tony faced many challenges in life, particularly after the passing of his beloved mother, Michelle E. Howard. Despite these struggles, he remained a generous and intelligent soul. Tony had an unwavering willingness to help others, consistently offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those in need. His selflessness knew no bounds, and his acts of kindness, big and small, will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Even when life didn't go as planned, he never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need, showing a depth of character that truly set him apart.

Tony is survived by two sons: Mark Humphreys and William Elijah Howard; a daughter Leigha Elaine Roach; and siblings Krystal Drohan (Roddy), Rhonda Hodge, William Nathan “Billy” Howard (Karen) and Roger Dale “DJ” Howard Jr.(Leslie)) He also leaves behind nephews Dylan Drohan (Amber), Dominick Drohan (Destiny), Matthew Poston, and Johnny Poston; nieces Rebecca Johnson (Michael), Zoe Drohan (Bryan), Lorelei Howard, and Ester Howard; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In honoring Tony's memory - a memorial will be held at a later date allowing friends and family to gather together in celebration of a life lived despite its brevity. As we remember him today, we find solace knowing his memory will echo through our lives forevermore. His journey was marked with battles and triumphs, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched.

Rest easy now dear brother-father-uncle-friend- for your earthly battle is over and your new journey in heaven has begun.
