William David Bass, 57, husband of Wanda Cribb Bass, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 3, 1958, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Clifton Bass and the late Barbara Goodman Bass Hughes. Mr. Bass was of the Baptist faith and was a Mason and past Master of Pawleys Island Masonic Lodge # 409. He was an employee of International Paper Company with 37 years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Mr. Bass enjoyed cooking and barbecuing, singing and restoring old cars. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and most of all taking his granddaughters boating. Mr. Bass was a selfless man who loved helping others.
Survivors include his wife of Murrells Inlet; a daughter, Ginger Hasty of North Myrtle Beach; two granddaughters, Shea Hasty and Carrie Wilks both of North Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Gayle Jayroe and Diane Chassereau (Gene) both of Georgetown; one brother, Charles Bass (Betty) of Georgetown; a special son in law, Marc Hasty of North Myrtle Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; and step father, Eddie Hughes.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 2 PM Thursday at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
