Weston Henry “Wes” Venters, 15, passed away, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Born on December 3, 2004, in Mt. Pleasant, he was a son of Brad Weston Venters and Danette Martin Venters. Wes was a sophomore at Georgetown High School, where he was learning welding and auto tech. He was a member of the Choppee Hunting Club and Jacob’s Hunting Club. Wes was a hard worker and enjoyed working with Terry Butler and at Venters Welding, alongside his father. He had a great love for the outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother and father of Georgetown; two sisters, Meredith M. Venters and Brilynn J. Venters; a twin brother, Clif O. Venters; one niece, Montana M. Venters; maternal grandparents, Daniel Martin, Jr. and Donna Martin; paternal grandparents, Dale Venters and LuAnn Venters; paternal great grandfather, Weston H. Venters; two aunts, Joy Johnson (Keith) and Holly Lavoie (Bill); two uncles, Darrell Martin (Jody) and Devin Martin (Tammy); cousins, Forrest Martin, Rivers Martin, Darrell Martin, Jr., Ryder Martin, Levi Martin, William Lavoie, Mac Lavoie, Katherine Johnson and Blake Walker; and close family friends, Will Forbes, Leslie Forbes, Ben Forbes and Kim Forbes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 3, 2020 at First Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at First Assembly of God.
