Thomas Richard Delahunt, 85, husband of Maureen Kelly Delahunt, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home.

Born on July 17, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Thomas Richard Delahunt and the late Eileen Fagan Delahunt. Mr. Delahunt was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. His involvement with the Knights of Columbia led him to become a charter Grand Knight with Saint Joseph Catholic Church in West Milford, New Jersey. Mr. Delahunt was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Delahunt was very passionate about tennis and was instrumental in the organization and scheduling of tennis matches at Belle Isle. Aside from tennis, Mr. Delahunt had a great love for traveling and most importantly spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Maureen Kelly Delahunt of Georgetown; six children, Carol Kinlock (Jerrold) of Sacramento, CA, Eileen Perrone (Steven) of Pawleys Island, Tom Delahunt of Charleston, Kathy Ryals (Allen) of Pawleys Island, Ken Delahunt of Surfside Beach and Tim Delahunt of Charlotte, NC; 10 grandchildren, Ken, Kate, Sean, Kelly, Ryan, Danny, Ashley, Ashley, Tommy and Casey; five great grandsons, Liam, Lenny, TJ, Connor and Charlie; and his loving dog, Oscar.

He preceded in death by a brother, William Delahunt; and two sisters, Isabel Martin and Mildred Smith.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church with Father Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
