Steven Hans Lake, 50, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022. Born on March 8, 1972, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Jerry Graham and the late Hannah Thomas Mau. Mr. Lake was a member of First Baptist Church and the recovery community. Through his creativity, Mr. Lake wrote many poems and published the book, “Masterpiece”. Along with writing poems, Mr. Lake also enjoyed telling stories, fishing and hunting. Survivors include a daughter, Susannah Lake of Norfolk, VA; one brother, Johnny Mau of Georgetown; one sister, Barbara Wrenn (Josh) of Morristown, TN; three nephews, Jared Gentry and Tyler Gentry both of Georgetown and Brad Locklair of Georgetown; cousins, Kevin Reed (Elizabeth) of Murrells Inlet, Cathy Reed of Surfside Beach, Cheryl Johnson of Surfside Beach and Karen Casas (Carlos) of Charlotte; and a special friend, Michael Edwards (Kimberly) of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Michelle Wood and Deedee Mau Conners; and a brother, Mike Mau. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 7, 2022, at First Baptist Church.
