Stephanie Smith Barrineau, 65, wife of Lewis Whitney “Whit” Barrineau, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on April 16, 1958, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Earl Smith and the late Verna Hinson Smith. Mrs. Barrineau was a member of Trinity Global Methodist Church and was a former employee of the Georgetown County School District. She enjoyed listening to music and taking care of her family. Survivors include her husband of Andrews; three children, Dustin Barnhill (Gretchen) of Andrews, Whitney Barrineau of Andrews and Lewis Barrineau of Andrews; one brother, Steve Smith (Allison) of Georgetown; and one sister, Sonya Grooms (Scott) of Walterboro. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday, at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
