Sharon Lambert Hearl, 78, widow of Daniel D. Hearl, Jr., passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on December 23, 1946, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Archie W. Lambert, Sr. and the late Josie Ruth Ray Lambert. Mrs. Hearl was a long-time member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church, a church where she built lasting relationships through her commitment to her church and its members, reflecting her dedication to her beliefs and her love for her spiritual family. In her younger years, Mrs. Hearl was an active participant in the Woodchuck Softball team, where her competitive spirit and teamwork shone brightly. Her love for sports extended beyond the field; she enjoyed bowling, showcasing her lively personality and passion for friendly competition.
Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Mrs. Hearl was a devoted grandmother who cherished her family above all. She had a unique ability to bring smiles to everyone’s faces, leaving a lasting impression with her kindness and vibrant nature. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting them throughout her life.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Dozier Hearl (Rebecca) of Rocky Point, NC and James Mitchell Hearl (Rebecca) of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Caleb Hearl of Herkimer, NY, Kaitlin Mitchell of Rocky Point, NC, Carson Hearl of Georgetown and Dillon Hearl of Georgetown; one great grandchild, Kameron Mitchell of Rocky Point, NC; two sisters, Brenda Nesbitt (Gerald) of Andrews and Mackie Pope of Coral Springs, FL; one brother, Douglas Lambert (Linda) of Andrews; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death three brothers, Paul Lambert, Archie Lambert, Jr. and David Lambert; and one sister, Willie Jane Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
