Sandra Blakeley Walker-Grant

Sandra Blakeley Walker-Grant, 78, widow of James S. Grant, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at The Medical University of South Carolina.

Born on October 1, 1939, in Orangeburg, she was a daughter of the late Muldrew Lee Blakeley, Sr. and the late Margaret Porter Blakeley. Mrs. Walker-Grant was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she served as a former chairman of the Staff Relation Committee, was a member of the Sunday morning prayer group and former choir member. One of her greatest passions in life was singing, she was an accomplished vocalist having been a member of the Indigo Choral Society for many years.

Survivors include two children Wadell Thomas Rabon, Jr. (Phyllis) of Moncks Corner and Ronald Melvin Rabon of Andrews; numerous step children to include, Debbe Vertefeuille (Dane) of Raleigh, NC and Bill Grant (Beth Ann) of Charlotte, NC; one step daughter in law, Cathy Walker of North Wilkesboro, NC; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Kay Lott of Andrews; one brother, Muldrew Lee Blakeley, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; three nieces, Mary Lee, Melanie and Carolyn; and two nephews, Drew and Johnny.

She was preceded in death by a husband, Donald Goodwin Walker; and a step child, Donnie Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Ben M. Gafford officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
