Sam Rogers

Franklyn E. “Sam” Rogers, Jr., 44, husband of Jessica Creel Rogers, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at MUSC. Born on April 14, 1979, in Georgetown, he was the son of Franklyn E. “Sammy” Rogers and Diane McConnell. Sam was a member of Messiah Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting and watching the GAMECOCKS. He was a hard worker and was known for always making others laugh. Sam was a loving husband, father and son that had a great love for his family. Survivors include his wife of Andrews; parents of Georgetown; two children, Anna Rogers and Jase Rogers both of Andrews; one he loved as his own, Haylee Van Vlake of Andrews; two nephews, Marion Parker (Nicole) and Lane Parker (Kirby) all of Andrews; one great niece, Ella Parker of Andrews; one great nephew, Waylon Parker of Andrews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Sonya Creel of Andrews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Rogers. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 1, 2023, in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Sunday at Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
