Richard Vonlee Whitnauer, Sr., 45, husband of Ronica Elaine Moore Whitnauer, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on May 26, 1977, in Georgetown, he was a son of Janis Cribb Whitnauer and the late John Leonard Whitnauer, Jr. Mr. Whitnauer was a member of Ringle Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife and mother both of Georgetown; five children, Adam Moore, Gavin Ward, Holly Whitnauer, Richard "Bam Bam" V. Whitnauer, Jr. and Emma Whitnauer all of Georgetown; one grandchild, Grayson Moore of Georgetown; one sister, Jennifer Whitnauer of Georgetown; one brother, Billy Whitnauer (Kellie) of Georgetown; two nephews, Alex Cook of Hemingway and John Cribb, III of Georgetown; one niece, Heaven Cook of Georgetown; two aunts, Carol Ann Ward of Hemingway and Sherrell Whitnauer of Macedonia; two uncles, Dennis Cribb of Hemingway and Frankie Whitnauer (Minnie) of Hollywood; one great uncle, Billy Singleton of Pawleys Island and one great aunt, Eloise Foxworth of Pawleys Island; mother-in-law, Diane Taylor of Georgetown; father-in-law, Gary Moore of Summerville; and a sister-in-law, Carrie Moore of Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph Cribb and Pearline Cribb; and paternal grandparents, John L. Whitnauer, Sr., and Retha Mae Whitnauer; three aunts, Jeannette Britt, Merrell Casselman and Linda Hewitt; three uncles, Larue Cribb and Larry Whitnauer and Jack Whitnauer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM - 12:30 AM Wednesday at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
