Richard John Rossi

Richard John Rossi, 74, husband of Judith A. Biegner, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022. Born on June 8, 1948, in Manhattan, NY, he was a son of the late Emile Fernando Rossi and the late Rose Costella Rossi. Mr. Rossi grew up in the Bronx, the only child of Italian immigrants. He was a 1970 graduate of Marist College, a place where he made life-long friends, friends that he would gather with every year for 50 years. Mr. Rossi was a member of the NY Mineralogical Club. He was very active and enjoyed hiking, skiing, riding bikes and walking around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Mr. Rossi loved his parakeets and eating out, but above all else, Mr. Rossi had a great love for his family. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Judith Anne Biegner of Pawleys Island; a daughter, Laura Rossi of Pawleys Island; one grandson, Nathan Rossi of Pawleys Island; a special family member he considered a son, Nestor Velez of Brooklyn, NY; and numerous cousins and other special family members. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Georgetown, SC.
