Relis Lee, 84, husband of Bell Cooper Lee, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at The Medical University of South Carolina.
Born on April 8, 1932, in Waycross, GA, he was a son of the late Seward Smith Lee and the late Macy Lee Martin Lee. Mr. Lee was a member of St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Men’s Fellowship and served in the South Carolina National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, going to church and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Bell Cooper Lee of Georgetown; two children, Stuart Lee (Karen) of Georgetown and Darlene Best of Andrews; four grandchildren, Buddy Best of Georgetown, Carlos Lee (Rebecca) of Hemingway, Krystal Moore (Brian) of Georgetown and Allen Best of Andrews; seven great grandchildren, Chase, Lily, Lani, Tucker, Blake, Ashton and Leevi; three sisters, Lois Ward of Andrews, Rhoda Lee of Georgetown and Leoda Ward of Andrews; one brother, Elvie Lee (Mary) of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alex Lee, Elbert Lee, Carswell Lee and Orbie Lee; and three sisters, Melinda Sams, Reavis Mercer and Lessie Lambert.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in Sandridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Monday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
