Reginald Anthony “Reggie” Amerson, 53, husband of Pam J. Amerson, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at The Medical University of South Carolina.
Born on June 9, 1966, in Georgetown, he was a son of Patricia Ann Lambert McKenzie and the late William Thomas “Bill” Amerson. Mr. Amerson was the owner and operator of Bill Amerson Trucking, Inc., was a member of the Wadmacon Island Hunting Club and was an avid ALABAMA football fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being on the Santee River. Mr. Amerson was a simple man with a big heart and was always willing to help someone in need. He was well known for his heart of gold and works of generosity.
Survivors include his wife Pam J. Amerson of Georgetown; mother, Ann L. McKenzie of Andrews; two children, Anthony Amerson of Georgetown and Macee Amerson (fiancé, Zachary Gamble) of Georgetown; one brother, Michael Amerson (Alicia) of Georgetown; two sisters, Terri Martin (Ricky) of Conway and Julie Amerson of Kingstree; his favorite hunting and fishing partner, Willie Amerson of Georgetown; one niece; seven nephews; and his beloved dogs, Sadie, Watson and Stella.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Dewayne Amerson; nephew, Sidney Amerson and a niece, Emilee Martin
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday at the church.
