Opal Barrineau

Opal Clark Barrineau, 81, widow of Aubrey C. “A.C.” Barrineau, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at her home. Born on May 20, 1943, in Jolo, WV, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Ben Clark and the late Elizabeth Ellen Crewey Clark. Mrs. Barrineau was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and sister. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family. Survivors include four daughters, Judy Lynn Skinner, Sandra B. Horvath, Amy B. Mendez (Jorge) and Tammy Bourne (Ronnie) all of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Juanita Dunford of Lanexa, VA and Theodosia Weakland of Ft. Pierce, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Barrineau; two daughters, Pamela Sanchez and Shelia Barrineau; and numerous brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, August 5, 2024, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
