Norma Jean Moore White

Norma Jean Moore White, 70, beloved wife of John Henry White, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on October 14, 1946, in Andrews, she was a daughter of the late Wilburn Charlie Moore and the late Vera Swails Moore. Mrs. White was a member of the Andrews Church of God and enjoyed singing, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John Henry White of Andrews; two children, Norma Marie Geddings (Kenny) of Andrews and Kathy Vermeland (Robbie) of Andrews; five grandchildren, Joni Ethridge (Patrick) of Georgetown, Candice Harris of Georgetown, Amber Cantley of Andrews, Hannah Cantley of Andrews and Andrew Vermeland of Sumter; five great grandchildren, Ryan Ethridge, Landon Ethridge, Hailey Gunter, Savannah Douglas, and Trevor Douglas; one great-great grandchild, Railey Gunter; one sister, Emily Wright (Otto) of Andrews; and one sister in law, Teressa Moore of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Moore. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Andrews Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Newton and Rev. Geraldine Bednego. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N.
