Miriam Janice Cox Woodruff

Miriam Janice Cox Woodruff, 67, wife of George Wright Woodruff, Jr., passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Born on January 18, 1951, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Willie Lee Cox and the late Sally Miriam Williams Cox. Mrs. Woodruff attended Rose Hill Baptist Church when she visited Georgetown and enjoyed needle point, coloring and gardening.

Survivors include her husband of Charlotte, NC; two sons, George Lee Woodruff (Kimberly Jo) of Brandon, MS and William Wright Woodruff of Salisbury, NC; two grandsons, Sean Michael Woodruff and Austin Wright Woodruff both of Brandon, MS; one sister, Jeanine Zurcher (Abbie) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Harley Cox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 2, 2018 at Rose Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
