Mary Estelle Lambert, 86, widow of Cicero Lambert and Hilbern Collins, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home.
Born on November 28, 1929, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Tillman Lambert and the late Frances Ward Lambert. Mrs. Lambert was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Women’s Prayer Meeting. She loved people and always enjoyed visiting and fellowshipping with others. Mrs. Lambert enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters, Margie Wilson (James) of Georgetown and Vina Mae Hammond (Kenneth) of Andrews; two sons, Clevie Lambert (Norma) of Andrews and Kevin Lambert (Carol) of Georgetown; two special family members she thought of as her own, David and Adell Bratcher of Georgetown; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Sue Evans of Georgetown and Shirley Gailey (Tommy) of Georgetown; a brother, Norman Lambert (Willie Jean) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sons, Earl Lambert, Gerald Lambert, Wendell Lambert and an infant son; two grandchildren, Twila “Bear” Hammond and Gerald Patrick Lambert.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
