Mary Belinda “BB” Hendrick, 61, passed away December 7, 2022, peacefully at her sister’s home with family by her side.
Born on August 10, 1961, in Oxford, North Carolina, one of three children to the late Roy Timothy Hendrick, Jr. and the late Helen Alford Hendrick. Belinda resided in Leland, North Carolina prior to moving to Georgetown in 2016. She was a graduate of Winyah High School in Georgetown, South Carolina and N.C. State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and after graduating college, “BB” began working as a machinist at GE -Wilmington, making parts for aircrafts.
“BB” as everyone knew her, loved life and lived it to the fullest. She always greeted you with a smile and left you with a laugh. She had a passion for music, playing her guitar, and attending concerts. She loved the outdoors where fishing, boating, the beach, working in the yard, and scuba diving were her favorite hobbies. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. “BB” was also an avid sports fan and especially loved the NC Tarheels and the Carolina Panthers.
Survivors include her sister, Terena H. Cook (Billy) of Georgetown; her brother, Tim Hendrick (Anita) of Charlotte, NC; one niece, Betsy Cusack (Frankie) of Georgetown; four nephews, Clay Cook of Georgetown, Will Cook (Leese) of Georgetown, Andrew Hendrick (Misty) of Waxhaw, NC and Joshua Janolis of Norlina, NC; six great nieces and nephews that she loved and adored, Raegan Cook, Colby Cook, Jace Cook, Sadie Cook, Ellesyn Cusack, and Lane Cusack all of Georgetown.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their compassion, love, and care throughout “BB’s” illness.
