The Lord welcomed Margarete Josephine K. Radcliffe, 93, into heaven on Monday, June 6, 2022.
She was born in Munich, Germany on February 5, 1929, and was the only child of the late Johann and Josephine Hochenrieder Keil. She was the granddaughter of the late Jacob and Margarete Hochenrieder of Schleissheim, Germany and the late Johann and Therese Keil of Munich, Germany.
It was in Schleissheim that she met her future husband, the late Henry Grady Radcliffe, Sr., and they were married on February 5, 1947, before making her home in Andrews, South Carolina.
She worked in production control at Andrews Wire Corporation for many years and was a member of the Andrews Presbyterian Church. She held various positions with the women of the church circles and loved singing in the choir. She loved animals, gardening, reading and classical music. She was the strength for the family, always giving support to all and will be deeply missed. When she was a little girl, she always said that she wanted to be a Mother!
Children are Linda Marie (James) Parsons of Hemingway, Henry Grady (Paulette) Radcliffe, Jr. of Georgetown, Sonia Gale (Glenn) Bell of Columbia, and John K. (Pamela) Radcliffe of Florence.
She leaves a legacy for faith for her beloved 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Burial will be at 11 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery 7603 Georgetown Hwy, Andrews, SC.
